About

Welcome! I'm Glad You're Here.

My path to Reiki began in 2017 during a time when my life was completely changing. Going through a painful divorce brought immense emotional weight, and I found myself searching for a way to truly heal and let go of the deep-seated anger and pain I was carrying. That search brought me to Reiki. Through it, I didn't just find deep healing—I found a completely renewed sense of purpose and a spiritual awakening that made it clear this sacred energy was my calling.

Driven by that experience, I became a certified Usui/Holy Fire® III Karuna Reiki® Master Teacher Practitioner. My practice comes straight from the heart, rooted in deep compassion and intuition. To me, true wellness isn't just about managing a single symptom; it is about caring for your entire being—mind, body, and spirit. When we connect, my only goal is to create a peaceful, safe space where you can fully relax, restore your balance, and reconnect with yourself.

I am passionate about helping you and your loved ones. I have a great love for animals and want to see your furry companions receive that same care and comfort. My intention is to help you let go of whatever is weighing you down, so you can move forward with greater peace, clarity, and lightness. Everyone’s journey looks entirely different, and I hold space for every single client—human and animal alike—with kindness, deep respect, and absolutely zero judgment.

Whatever you are carrying, I am here for you. Together, we will gently guide each session to support the natural, innate healing ability within you, your loved ones, and your cherished animals.

In Love and Light,
Rita

What is Reiki?

Reiki isn’t just healing. It’s your personal pathway back to lasting peace and inner harmony.

Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive form of energy healing that was founded in Japan by Dr. Usui, a Buddhist monk. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese words "Rei," which means universal, and "Ki," which means life force energy.

At its heart, the basis of Reiki is that everything in our universe is made of energy, and this life force energy moves through and around all living things. When this energy becomes blocked, depleted, or out of sync due to daily stress, trauma, or heavy emotions, Reiki can beautifully aid relaxation and restore balance through both in-person and distance sessions.

How The Energy Works

I want you to know that Reiki isn’t a religion, a dogma, or a belief system. It is spiritual in nature, but you don’t need to believe in anything at all to receive it.

There is also absolutely no exchange of personal energy between us. Reiki is never sent; it is drawn through your practitioner, who acts simply as a channel. I never give my own energy to you, and you don’t give your energy to me. Before we begin, I set an intention for our session and the energy needed for your healing. Your body then draws in that energy at the exact frequency it needs, guiding it right where it belongs—into your chakras, meridians, specific areas of your body, your vital functions, and your organs.

Think of Reiki like Wi-Fi for your body. Even though you can't see the signals moving through the air, you know they’re real because they connect you to everything. Sometimes, life puts up walls or creates static, making that connection feel weak. Reiki acts as a gentle, quiet booster, clearing away that background noise so you can easily reconnect to your own inner strength and power source.

What Are Chakras and Meridians?

The word chakra translates to "wheel" or "disk," and describes the seven main energy centers that run all the way up your spine, from the very base of your tailbone up to the crown of your head. Think of them like your body’s own internal ecosystem.

When these centers are open and flowing freely, your energy moves effortlessly, leaving you feeling balanced, deeply grounded, and vibrant. But life happens—and things like everyday stress, heavy emotions, or just plain physical exhaustion can easily leave these energy centers feeling a bit sluggish, heavy, or out of sync.

If your chakras are the main energy pools, your meridians are the inner highways that deliver that life force to every single organ and cell. When a highway gets gridlocked by stress, your whole body feels it.

What to Expect During Our Distance Session

Because energy isn't boxed in by time or space, distance healing works beautifully. We don't need to be in the same room to connect. For our sessions, we will meet intentionally over a video call, allowing you to settle in and receive this calming energy from the absolute comfort and privacy of your own home. You can fully unwind—perhaps wrapped up in your favorite cozy blanket or relaxing in your favorite chair.

After that, all you need to do is make yourself comfortable—whether that means lying down or curling up in a chair supported by your favorite pillows. With your eyes closed, I will gently guide you into a relaxed state and begin working intuitively with the life force energy, placing my hands over a surrogate, my teddy bear. From there, your only job is to close your eyes, breathe, be open to receiving, and simply relax.

When we spend this time together, your experience might be filled with:

·    Gentle physical sensations – a comforting, localized warmth or a subtle tingling.
·    A quiet mind – drifting into a soft, dream-like state.
·    An emotional release – feeling like a heavy weight is finally being lifted right off your chest.
·    Deep restoration – feeling rested like waking up from a deep nap.
·    Stillness – or even absolutely nothing at all, which is completely normal.

Whatever you experience—or don’t experience—is exactly what your mind, body, and spirit need in that exact moment. There is no right or wrong way to feel. At the end of our session, we will talk about what we both saw and felt, and I will send you a summary recapping our session together.
